Another beautiful day got up to 23 deg this afternoon. We stayed in and chilled out. Sat in the garden for a while topping up my tan. Went to talk to our new neighbours in the field next door, 4 baby goats, they have plenty to eat in there.
This evening we went for a Pizza in our favourite place Pizza Lithero, it was great to see Vas is still cooking them beautifully. Then we walked down to Coconut, as we heard they may be open, but no, maybe tomorrow. Nightcap in the Marvel with Ann and John and home to bed.
This is a photo from the other day, I could not get it to upload for some reason – it is Poppy having a rest in the shade at Sea Monkeys.

Chilling day, sat in the sun doing Suduko and reading. Just couldn’t be bothered to move or do anything interesting or strenuous.

Ditto as above, but this evening we went to Mon Amour with Ann and John. We had a beautiful meal, as usual. The food is all freshly cooked, Phil and I had Chicken Souvlaki, Ann had a Pork chop and John had Meatballs which looked more like Bifteki to me.
Mon Amour holds special memories for me, we have been there with lots of special friends, including Dot(she is coming next week to stay with us) and Bill, who is no longer with us. He was one very special gentleman, and we miss him so much. One of the best evenings there was with our friend Barbara on 20th April last year, when our beautiful Great grandson Archie entered the world during our dinner.
Another perfect evening rounded off with a nightcap(or three) at the Marvel, waiting for our friends, Kes and Kath, Gaye and Nigel to arrive. Lots of putting the world to rights, laughs and good company.

Another relaxing day, doing ‘b’ all really apart from sunbathing, reading etc. Our friends Joy and Ian popped down to see us, we sat on the balcony with the obligatory wine. Great to catch up with what they have been up to since January when they moved out here. They have offered to take us for a Chinese one night, as Ian knows I don’t fancy driving Huee to Sidari and back in the dark. Love them to bits. Also he is taking me to pick Dot up from the airport on Saturday. that will be a nice surprise for her as she thinks I have booked a taxi for her. Stayed in tonight and had Bacon and eggs – not Greek but it is what we fancied.

Today we had a drive over to Sidari to get some more sausages from the UK shop. We had a good catch up with Laura, she had a good look around Huee and loves him too. We always buy sausages from Laura, also got Phil a genuine Steak and Kidney Pukka pie, his favourite.
This evening we had a wander down to Thalassa for their opening evening. All the tables were full, we had a lovely welcome from Spiros and Agi. I had Moussaka and Phil had a huge sirloin steak. As usual it was superb, a wonderful meal
We had to call into the Coconut on the way back, and came across Kes and Kath having a quiet nightcap. So we joined them for one or three.
Phil is struggling with his COPD this year, but he managed to walk down and back with only a few rest stops. He did well bless him.

This morning I received some wonderful news, from my friend, since we were at college together when we were 16. Sandra’s grandson and his partner had a baby boy yesterday, 9lb 3oz. Welcome to the Great grandparents club. She sent me a text saying ‘Snap I have one now’.
Had quite a bit of rain today, at least it is warm rain. It was dull and miserable all day so we didn’t venture far. This evening we went into the Rainbow for dinner. We met up with Denise and Paul, our friends from Cleethorpes. Also had a quick catch up with John and Dot, who came back from the Marina after, what sounded like a very delicious Liver dinner. After our meal a lovely lady and her husband came over to introduce themselves, Val Lawrence and Steve, it was so good to meet you. We have spoken on the Forum and Facebook for years, but this was the first time we have met, face to face. We spent an enjoyable couple of hours chatting about our adventures and our mutual love of travel.

Friday the 13th – and what a beautiful day to wake up to, also the smell of all the wild flowers is beautiful. I love the smell of Corfu. Sat in the garden on and off, had to keep popping inside to cool off.
We had a lovely surprise visit from our friend Eleni, she brought us a box of ice cream cakes, they taste delicious.
This evening we went to Brouklis and we both had Bifteki stuffed with cheese, our favourite there. Phil said he enjoyed it even more than his Sirloin steak. Nightcap at the Marvel, with Ann and John and just as we were leaving, Gaye and Nigel came back after spending the evening with Kes and Kath. Poor Nigel is really suffering with his chest infection, hope he feels better soon. Phil had a bad chest infection one year and we were told it is from the Olive pollen at this time of year.
Off to bed now as I am going to collect Dot from the airport in the morning. Kalinixta!
